Software Technology

SmartTraxx is multi-platform software supporting open software, such as Java and MySQL, and proprietary software, like Windows Server 2012 and SQL Server. SmartTraxx can be installed in local IT environments and/or can be accessed utilizing the Internet.

SmartTraxx is developed on the Java EE platform. The Java EE platform provides an API and runtime environment for developing and running large-scale, multi-tiered, scalable, reliable, and secure network applications.

SmartTraxx’s graphical user interface is developed in HTML5. HTML5 is a markup language used for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. It is the fifth and current version of the HTML standard. SmartTraxx’s user interface is modern, browser/web based computing in an elegant and user friendly format.

SmartTraxx supports traditional laptop and computer workstations with our Java application and HTML5 interface. SmartTraxx also includes a mobile computing interface written in Android, which operates on mobile scanners, tablets and phones. Android is a mobile operating system developed by Google, based on the Linux Kernel and designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices
Workstations are thin-client, only requiring a standard browser and operating system.

SmartTraxx includes a database synchronization toolkit that makes it easy to integrate with backend database, such as Oracle, SAP or any ‘core processing’ application. Typical database integration is achieved by establishing a network folder for push-and-pull data exports and imports. Windows Scheduler is typically used to prompt automatic nightly (or periodic) uni-direction or bi-directional updates/sync.
